Fascinating... This sent me scurrying to the man pages. I couldn't find any indication of where the "already seen" flag is kept. Anybody know this? Is there a document I've overlooked? But if it somehow is assuming the "-u" option, and it thinks I've already seen the questions, that would explain the observed symptoms. I'll see if it does this on a completely fresh install, first time ever using dpkg-reconfigure on the install... Fascinating...
