How to get sshd up and running?

During installation you were asked if ssh server should be started. If you said no it wrote a file /etc/ssh/ sshd_not_to_be_run. If you remove this file ssh server should start during bootup.

Don't bother rebooting after making this change; instead run "/etc/init.d/ssh restart".

Instead of removing the file mentioned above, run "dpkg-reconfigure ssh" and do both steps above in one, with a text-based "GUI".
