Cannot send mail to [email protected]. Fully formed address will work.
Applications such as rkhunter and cron-apt that send mail to root--mail is not received. There is a "system_notification" user and root is aliased to this. Explicit send to root using "mail" fails regardless of whether address is fully formed.
