Dear JM, According to lspci, I have RTL8191SEvB Wireless LAN Controller. I've been using the rtlwifi and rtl8192se drivers for years, with firmware-realtek. The drivers are not the greatest, but they don't interfere with eth0. I think the DHCP issue you have may be a different problem.
