Can't seem to find mkisofs in later versions of Debian, I expect its
been superseded by something with a different package name, and/or
subsumed under mkfs:
- try man mkfs -- I expect that ultimately the command the command
you're looking for is "man mkfs -T iso" or something like that.
Taking a quick look at the Ubuntu package directories, I expect you need
to install the package "libisofs6" and for documentation, the package
"libisofs-doc" - and then figure out which man page actually talks about
the isofs format.
But since you're working with UBUNTU, I'd suggest asking your question
on the ubuntu users list. Yes, ubuntu is a debian derivative - but it's
also different in a number of ways.

Under each e-mail/message/letter I place since 2006 (the year that I
became bedridden) a piece of text in which I would like to make it
quite clear that the lifestyle of my partner and I are adapted to our
slogan (as the last paragraph mentions). This slogan has been made,
because we had a number of people from our circle of acquaintances
radically turned their back. This all because they have had the
pleasure to talk about other people (whether or not in our presence)
to gossip, to lie or even to cheat them. We prefer to talk direct to
persons, without telling fairy-tails and our told secrets shall we
take to the grave 'secrets are secrets'.
That's why our lifestyle and slogan is:
~ We are open, honest and sincere to ourselves, to each other as
partner and with some reticence also to strangers... ! ~

Onder elke e-mail/bericht/brief plaats ik sinds 2006 (het jaar dat ik
bedlegerig werd) een stukje tekst waarin ik duidelijk maak dat de
levensstijl van mijn partner en ik is aangepast aan onze slogan (als
laatste alinea vermeldt).
Deze slogan is er gekomen, omdat wij een aantal personen uit onze
directe omgeving radicaal de rug hebben toegekeerd. Dit omdat zij er
een gewoonte van hadden gemaakt om over andere mensen (al dan niet in
ons bijzijn) te roddelen, te liegen of hen zelfs te bedriegen. Wij
voeren alleen directe gesprekken zonder sprookjes of (heimelijke)
omwegen en bewaren vertelde geheimen informatie tot in het graf
'geheimen blijven geheimen'.
Daarom is onze levensstijl en slogan:
~ Wij zijn open, eerlijk en oprecht naar onszelf, naar elkaar als
partner en met enige terughoudendheid ook naar vreemden toe...! ~
