In thunar file manager, single/double click behavior is chosen by Edit->Preferences->Behavior. What desktop environment are you using? Have you checked your double-click delay settings? In xfce, menu->settings->mouse->behavior. Or try another mouse. This week I had to replace a mouse because of erratic left-click behavior. Good luck! Ralph
