The last time I looked--about 6 months ago--FreeBSD requires a filesystem that is not compatible with Linux or Windows; nothing cancommunicate with it.
About six months ago, FreeBSD could still perfectly happily run on UFS volumes, and there was no such requirement. I am confident that that is still the case in 10.2, although I have yet to upgrade my UFS-using FreeBSD machines to 10.2.
