But we already do so. The fortunes package has the sexually-oriented jokes and the atheism aphorisms split out into the fortunes-off package, because it is (rightly IMO) considered that people might take offense at getting these randomly. There is nothing wrong with trying to reach a reasonable accommodation with people to make them feel more comfortable. The only argument against OP is simply that you feel that they are not asking for a *reasonable* accommodation. That can be debated, but a dismissive tone like above does not come over like you're interested in actually debating it.
