I've just installed woody for the first time and I can't get X to run. It was surgested that I upgrade to xfree V4.2.1-6 from http://people.fsn.hu/~pasztor/debian I did that and still it will not run.
I've tried running dpkg-recomfigure xserver-xfree86 xf86config Hardware: Matrox G550 card and a HP M700 Monitor. I have had Mandrake 8.1 working OK on this hardware before very well.
