stty is used to change and print terminal line settings. I've kept away from it for many years. You can see what your settings are with 'stty -a'. I have the interupt signal as 'intr = ^C'. ^C is ctrl-C. 'sty sane' gives no output but sets the terminal line settings to various reasonable values. The manual lists them.
