Personally I've no more problems with hacking than I'd have with shoplifting or pickpocketing: not nice, but there's law enforcement or commensurate protective measures. But talk about "exterminating" people or "haha" about high crime rates, well, I find that difficult to digest, especially when it comes from otherwise obviously intelligent people I somewhat care about.
