I think Brian was assuming that the webmail user was using the webmail system provided by the ISP itself (rather than a third party's, like Google's). Many ISPs provide such a webmail system. For users who don't normally use them (because they use a smarthost at home), they can be useful when they travel and have no access to that smarthost. That's one of the reasons I use a hosting service, even though it's on the "wrong" continent. Cheers, David.
