I'm not doing online games through the Linksys router. I'm basically doing web browsing, e-mail and telecommuting.
In that case, you probably just need to start syslogd with the -r switch option to allow for remote logging.
On my Debian unstable boxes, it's right there in /etc/init.d/sysklogd ...
# Options for start/restart the daemons # For remote UDP logging use SYSLOGD="-r" # SYSLOGD=""
Just change that to :
SYSLOGD="-r"
And restart it... /etc/init.d/sysklogd restart
