I am *not* an expert on this, but two observations: 1. I think that maybe your routing table should have two ppp0 entries: Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 64.7.158.21 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 ppp0 0.0.0.0 64.7.158.21 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ppp0 2. I've not used wvdial, but I have never had problems setting up dialup accounts through pppconfig, and using pon and poff - it's very simple.
