Intel pays its driver writers to focus on the modesetting DDX. I only use the
modesetting DDX on Intel Graphics new enough for modesetting DDX support:

Your need for the deprecated DDX must be specific to your particular
GPU. The one you have ought to be specified in your bug report. The
report might get quicker traction if you announce it to the Intel
developers on their mailing list:

information they want to see in reports, and where to report.
ISTR your experience is known to upstream, but I get lost trying to
