I had the same / a similar problem with my Thinkpad P1. After some digging I found out that my wireless mouse was causing this behaviour. Now I turn off the mouse (using the physical sliding button on its bottom) before putting the laptop to sleep and it doesn't happen anymore. Maybe something you could try? Grx HdV
