Hi,

(I had posted about this a while ago, but can't find that thread anymore in gmane, so a repeat):

I am trying ssh to connect to my university:

The problem seems to be my fonts setup in Debian. I had installed some true type fonts and changed the X config files. Now when I commented out any new or odd font paths such that only the basic font paths exist, xterm now opens properly.

I have long suspected my fonts are messed up. I have also posted a few messages for help in this regard in this newsgroup, but looks like fonts setup is not in the domain of gurus here ;)
