Why not setup the Compose key--usually rt-alt or the right-hand Windows 
key--and then you can produce

accents wherever you need them, as well as money signs, degrees, all sorts of 
fractions, etc. Here, ¢, £,

ñ, ¿ ° ß and lots more.   --doug
