increasing swap here helped a *lot*. (I only have 8GB.)
stopping using Firefox helped some too.
also killing ´web content´ locations but that´s a tad risky. (also I
believe it sometimes crashes Firefox altogether.)
I didn´t know the memory tweak mentioned somewhere else in the thread.
