Thanks, Rodolfo !  Logs I wouldn't know... CUPSDebugging - Debian Wiki wiki.debian.org Section 3 to start with.  Basically enable debugging , do what you did before for printing and check the logs. Sometimes the errors are very obvious. Sometimes they drive one batty.  Either way, it might all flow from there together with the wider context of the wiki or come back to here.  Peter
