Can you provide the command line used? According to internet, there can be 2 main reasons: either this kind of file is not scannable, or its file is bigger than the allowed size. Maybe you could try: * clamscan --max-filesize=300M --max-scansize=300M ./your_file.ext * dd if=./your_file.ext | clamscan - l0f4r0
