Hi
Iīm trying to use festival. But when I type (SayText "hello")
the output is very fast, and after this the machine freezes.
neither keyboard nor mouse moves after this

I find htat tip:

http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/cgi-bin/lists.cgi?config=festival_faq&entry=arunning_festival/speed.html

and choose the cheaper option. but where should be the
festival/lib in debian? I found /usr/lib/festival and
/usr/share/festival . should I create a lib directory inside
/usr/share/festival and put the file inside??? or should I
just put it in /usr/lib/festival ???

meanwhile I solve that problem typing in the festivalīs
prompt the two commands:

festival> (Parameter.set 'Audio_Method 'Audio_Command)
festival> (Parameter.set 'Audio_Command "sox -t raw -sw -r $SR $FILE -c2 -t
ossdsp /dev/dsp")

the sound becames better, but the computer is still freezing.
I try to find any kind of related information in /var/log but
there is nothing.

I make the following:
"shutdown -r +1" on one console
in festival, (sayText "hello")
festival speak the text, the computer freeze and I wait one minute
but the machine doesn't power down. So I realized that festival is
doing more than just freezing mouse and keyboard.

I try othes Audio_Methodīs. namely, sunaudio and linux16audio
but i that two, sound is accelerated and the computer freezes

I can listen cd sound and mp3 normally. So, can I conclude that
the problem is in festival???

Any help? suggestions?
