If you have more question, it will help us if you identify your card exactly. To do this, open a terminal window (I gather from what you said that you have some graphics capability, but not all you want), and copy and paste the following command, and run it. lspci -nn | egrep -i "3d|display|vga" Then copy and paste the results from the first prompt to the trailing prompt into your email.
