When I was setting Nextcloud up, it also seemed to me that it might be overkill (in particular as I had to do it several times due to SD and external HDD failure). However, now it has been stable for a couple of years. I wonder what I would miss if I move to syncthing. I mainly just use the file sync, contacts, calendaring, and photo upload features of Nextcloud. -- This signature is currently under constuction.
