You will need the kernel sources to compile the driver. - extract the driver archive - cd 3com/3c2000 - make # compile the driver - make install # install the driver - depmod -a # update the module database - modprobe 3c2000 # load the driver On LKML were reports that gcc 3.* will fail to build the driver.
