Oh, yes, excellent idea, let it use an unpredictable order rather than that boring alphabetical order. That way, if I do not see the package in the list where I expect it to be, that does not mean it is not in the list, that means I need to read it in full. Seriously, “I had this problem this morning, that obvious thing would have avoided it (no, I did not take the time to think about the other consequences)” is a terrible way to design an interface.
