Use nouveau instead of nvidia drivers. Also, be sure you have the necessary non-free repo's enabled in sources.list. In fact, you might want to provide it here for others to inspect. Copy/paste the result of ` grep -v '^#' /etc/apt/sources.list `. Jeff
