You misunderstood. When printing a plain text file witn lpr, the 
output orientation is landscape. It should be portrait. One might 
think that using lpr with -o option would rotate 90° and be a 
work around, but not so. The output remains landscape for all 
values now.

The file printed by emacs is landcape as well
