I was only able to copy a few words of text from konsole to kate and can't repeat that success. So I still need help. The errors I am getting are simply this: I keep my time in a program called etm in konsole. It produces a file which contains the date, the work I did that day and the time it took me to accomplish that work. Etm was recently succeeded by a new program called tklr which is bettr. So I am no longer using etm. However I need to get the time saved in etm into kate so I can send client bills.
When I highlight 3 or 4 lines of text in etm and attempt to paste that lines into kate, nothing happens. I got it to copy once using the middle mouse but can't repeat that.
