I used edge scrolling on my old Thinkpad T470 and it always worked perfectly there. However on my new (to me) Thinkpad T16 edge-scrolling is decidedly flakey. It would seem that the touchpad doesn't recognise the start of edge-scrolling as it were. Once it's understood that you want to edge scroll it's fine but it's sometimes difficult to get it to start.
I can nearly always get it to work after an initial failure by moving the mouse pointer around at random and then moving my finger up or down the edge of the touchpad. Has anyone else come across an issue like this? I've tried turning on and off the various touchpad options and varying the settings but all to no avail. I can live with two-finger scrolling but I'd prefer getting edge-scrolling working properly. -- Chris Green ยท
