I think the GUI is NetworkManager.
wireless is a bit of a mystery to me.
In the panel that is by default across the top of the desktop here there
is the applications menu > Settings > Advanced Network Connections.
Also on the right of that panel there is the icon that looks like 2
monitors. Right clicking on that brings up a menu.
If there are no available networks it may take a while to sort itself
out when first PC is turned on.
The network manager should automagically work but is possible that if
there is no access point available it might not.
In the Terminal emulation type " nmcli connection show" should show
available connections.
