The package "nvidia-detect" I believe will tell you which driver you
need.
apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
This will install the correct headers for the current kernel to build
the nvidia modules.
If the kernel changes you'll have to do that again.
Installing the "meta-package" for your architecture, eg
"linux-headers-amd64"
will keep the headers up to date with the kernel so you don't have to
worry about that anymore.
