Does running `journalctl --user --boot --unit *kdeconnect*` show anything interesting? Naturally, Android has a far more cumbersome process: https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/logcat. If you can get your hands on Android's logs and run through `grep --ignore-case kdeconnect`, it might point to the failure.
