Dear list,

I saw, that there is a new kernel in backports. I know, what backports is used
for.

My question aims more special to the kernel version: As kernel 7.X is in
backports, and debian/stable still got 6.X,

- is it a general debian policy, that newer kernel versions are not updated in
debian/stable (except of patched kernel versions) ?

- or is kernel 7.2 still buggy, to get into the stable repo ?

This is just a question, because I wondered, that the kernel in debian/stable
is stil at 6.12.113, which IMO looks rather old.

Thans for any (short) answer.

Best
