After much troubleshooting, it now seems clear that the serial connector on my Palm has died. So I'm planning to go with IR instead. I've found some pages that suggest that most adapters should work fine, but product listings at retailers don't really give any specifics as to chipsets and such. Does anyone have any pointers as to known-good USB/Irda adapters?
