I faced a problem when I tried to do: apt-file search kernel-package
Can't locate object method "host" via package "URI::_foreign" (perhaps you
forgot to load "URI::_foreign"?) at /usr/bin/apt-file line 225.
I did not mess with my Perl installation, and I just left it as default. How
do I fix this?
There seem no apparent solution to this thread (same problem as me) as well though the thread is rather old already. http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2003/debian-user-200302/msg05510.html
I am using debian 3.0-r2 and kernel 2.4.18-bf2.4. Also, apt/stable uptodate 0.5.4. Please help! :-(
I guess you have CDs listed in you /etc/apt/sources.list...
Searching a little bit further you will get to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=132966
