Greetings, Someone asked me a really challenging question regarding a hard drive size. Why there are 2 different sizes showing on a same hard drive when someone looks for its hard drive size through its BIOS and through its Window Operating System?
I was seeing the phenomenon described in http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Large-Disk-HOWTO-14.html#ss14.2 with two identical Maxtor 80 gig IDE drives attached as /dev/hda and /dev/hdc.
