Hi

I have an external DVD burner which is connected to ieee1394 port.

I guess that I need to load ieee1394.o and raw1394.o modules as the first
step.
But I don't know how to create something like /dev/hdc in order to mount
it.
Any input is appreciated.

Thanks
Hamid

Did you try /dev/raw1394 ?

ohci1394 and sbp2 are the missing keys to the puzzle. The device name would be something like /dev/sda

Thanks.

I tried different /dev/sda* but none worked. Is there any message in the kernel log that says which /dev I should use ?

Hamid
