I'm working with a new sid install and am having some trouble getting java to work with Mozilla 1.6. Blackdown Java 1.4 is installed and functional and following the debian java faq, I symlinked /usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/plugin/i386/mozilla/javaplugin_oji.so into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.
No dice, no java.
Java does work with konqueror though...
Are you using the plugin version that was compiled with gcc 3.2? That was the detail that I missed which caused Java not to work for me.
