I guess I just completely misunderstood you.  I thought you were
questioning if the IMAP mail was available on the local machine with
mutt or elmo (not familiar with elmo).  I wasn't trying to imply mbox or
mutt or whatever was a *best* solution, especially not for your
particular needs.  I'm certainly not trying to be a guru handing out
advice.
