If necessary, in addition to the text that encloses the invariant
section you can state in footnotes that the algorithm has been
cracked.
 
GFDL requires to preserve all the Invariant Sections of the Document,
unaltered in their text and in their titles.  In order to fulfil this
requirement you'd have to make completely clear to the reader which of
the footnotes are part of the text of the original author and which of
them are additions.
