Hi Sruthi,

In recent years, it's become much more usual for the DPL to travel to
conferences, speak in public, be interviewed and asked questions by
the likes of LWN. How do you feel about a busy schedule where the
expectation is that you will travel the world for Debian?.
I am aware of this expectation and I am OK with that. Till recently, I used to travel inside India for more than 10 days a month for Debian and Free Software events. Being DPL,  the difference would be that the travel will be international. But I do have concerns about visa complications.
It's also a position that exposes the holder to public and private
criticism, scrutiny of their actions, whether justified or not..

I am aware of this too, and this year I think this started even before the election. I am mentally prepared to be criticized and scrutinized for everything I say (or not say) and do (or not do). I would be always open to constructive criticisms and will be open to change when I am wrong. All along, I will focus on saying and doing only what I believe is good for Debian.

Do you feel confident that you can meet the expectations of you
straightforwardly?
I do not want to be overconfident and say I can meet all the expectations. But instead, I would say I would be striving to meet the expectations and if there are some short-comings, I would try to rectify along the way.
