There is no problem, if someone prefer that approach, just go for it. I find interesting to give the Debian users alternative solutions to the problems. I have not tested the HAL/gvm/pmount approach, but I find usbmount very convenient since the package is amazingly plug-and-play. Besides, usbmount is lightweighted: $ apt-cache show hal gnome-volume-manager pmount | grep Installed-Size Installed-Size: 504 Installed-Size: 736 Installed-Size: 140 $ apt-cache show usbmount | grep Installed-Size Installed-Size: 104 Moreover, gnome-volume-manager depends on a whole bunch of Gnome libraries. -- Rafael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
