What's the correct title when a package has been removed from unstable, but has bugs pending and is still in stable?] The package description of pose is: An emulator for Palm Computing organizers. Requires a ROM file, which can be transferred from a physical Palm device, or downloaded from palm's website (if you sign a license agreement). POSE is still useful. The alternative is Palm's simulator, but there is no Linux version and its proprietary software. After applying some patches I made it compile with gcc 3.3 and libfltk1.1. This should cover the pending, and most important, issues with this package. Upstream is dead, regarding this package, but the community has been working and producing patches for POSE. I understand that working with "dead upstream" packages can be a problem, but since I use this program a lot I am willing to take its role, as far as Debian is concerned, and try to solve any future issue that might pop up. -- Lucas Wall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Buenos Aires, Argentina http://www.kadath.com.ar PGP 1024D/84FB46D6 5D25 528A 83AB 489B 356A 4087 BC9B 4733 84FB 46D6 --------------enig1027662EFE0DD48A0DD744DD Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBM5XCvJtHM4T7RtYRAoVTAKDaw4YlN9oo0kX8qIcQaGRJXXLMXgCeNeQC 7bagA1B1Jwsc4779kyvNt4M= =peSj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enig1027662EFE0DD48A0DD744DD-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 269112-close) by bugs.debian.org; 18 Mar 2005 23:24:07 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 18 15:24:06 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DCQp4-000338-00; Fri, 18 Mar 2005 15:24:06 -0800 Received: from joerg by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DCQen-0003P0-00; Fri, 18 Mar 2005 18:13:29 -0500 From: Lucas Wall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: lisa $Revision: 1.30 $ Subject: Bug#269112: fixed in pose 3.5-7 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Joerg Jaspert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 18 Mar 2005 18:13:29 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 2 Source: pose Source-Version: 3.5-7 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of pose, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: pose-doc_3.5-7_all.deb to pool/contrib/p/pose/pose-doc_3.5-7_all.deb pose-profile_3.5-7_i386.deb to pool/contrib/p/pose/pose-profile_3.5-7_i386.deb pose_3.5-7.diff.gz to pool/contrib/p/pose/pose_3.5-7.diff.gz pose_3.5-7.dsc to pool/contrib/p/pose/pose_3.5-7.dsc pose_3.5-7_i386.deb to pool/contrib/p/pose/pose_3.5-7_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
