Package: wnpp
Priority: wishlist

I intend to package sara, availabe from
http://home.arc.com/sara/index.html
Development (unfinished) packages are available at
http://www.dat.etsit.upm.es/~jfs/debian/DO/sara/

Package: sara
Architecture: any
Depends: perl5, www-browser, ${shlibs:Depends}
Suggests: nis, nfs-common
Description: Security Auditor's Research Assistant
This powerful is an evolution of satan which includes many nice
new features like report generation, new vulnerabilities tested,
 use of nmap features..
 .
In its simplest mode, it gathers as much
information about remote hosts and networks as possible by
examining such network services as finger, NFS, NIS, ftp and tftp,
 rexd, statd, and other services.
 .
It is based upon SATAN but is being developed under an
 open source community effort.

I'm not interested in SARA and there doesn't seem to be anyone interested=
=20
in packaging it either. As I have requested SATAN to be removed from the=20
archive recently I don't believe it makes sense to have SARA in when there=
=20
are useful (free) alternatives available such as Nessus.

Regards

Javier
