* Package name : Havp Version : 0.56 Upstream Author : [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.server-side.de/ * License : GPL Description : HAVP (HTTP Anti-Virus Proxy) is a proxy with a clamav antivirus scanner. (Include the long description here.) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) HAVP is a proxy with an anti-virus filter. It does not cache or filter content. At the moment the complete traffic is scanned. A reason for that is the chance of malicious code in nearly every filetypes e.g. HTML (JavaScript) or Jpeg. I hope to stop especially dialer or browser exploits. But writing a http Anti Virus Proxy is a dilemma! Hugh downloads are a problem for virus scanning proxies. A Client should not receive data which is unchecked by the virus scanner, but big download must not timeout. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
