We have two implementations of each version of Kerberos in Debian currently. The can in general share the same config files, so it is desirable not to lose configuration information when removing/purging one implementation for another. Thus, I have authored kerberos-configs, a package to manage the config files. There is a version available (referenced within the bug) that supports krb5. The krb4 support will be added once krb5 support is finalized. I will coordinate with the other maintainers of Kerberos implementations to upload this package. It's getting to a point where it is worth ITping the package, so I can upload once coordination is complete. The package is released under the GPL, so it should be fine for non-us. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 97300-close) by bugs.debian.org; 16 May 2001 19:11:53 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 16 14:11:53 2001 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from pandora.debian.org [132.229.131.40] (mail) by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 1506i8-0007MK-00; Wed, 16 May 2001 14:11:52 -0500 Received: from troup by pandora.debian.org with local (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 1506PM-0007DI-00; Wed, 16 May 2001 20:52:28 +0200 From: Sam Hartman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.40 $ Subject: Bug#97300: fixed in kerberos-configs 1.0 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: James Troup <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 16 May 2001 20:52:28 +0200 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of kerberos-configs, which has been installed in the Debian FTP archive: kerberos-configs_1.0.dsc to pool/non-US/main/k/kerberos-configs/kerberos-configs_1.0.dsc kerberos-configs_1.0.tar.gz to pool/non-US/main/k/kerberos-configs/kerberos-configs_1.0.tar.gz krb5-config_1.0_all.deb to pool/non-US/main/k/kerberos-configs/krb5-config_1.0_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
