I think that the script is usefull (I myself use to have something simmilar, but I like this one better) and I have make some changes to make it to comply with policy and other stuff. I don't know those changes are going to be adopted by upstream, I just send the patch. Also, I don't know if the ssh maintainer would like to have to maintain this script.
