If you tried doing the configuration 'automatically' instead of letting it go manually, it's quite possible that the ledgersmb role is there but does not have the correct permissions. The README.Debian file has a note about creating the role manually. Or if the role is present & you don't want to delete it, you can go into psql and run something like this: ALTER ROLE ledgersmb WITH SUPERUSER LOGIN NOINHERIT; Then back to setup.pl and see how it goes.
