Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2002-04-06
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : jackit
  Version         : 0.24.2
  Upstream Author : Paul Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL             : http://jackit.sourceforge.net/
* License         : GPL/LGPL
  Description : JACK low-latency sound server

JACK allows the connection of multiple applications to an audio device,
as well as allowing them to share audio between themselves. It will be
the output "device" for professionial sound applications like ardour
(ardour.sourceforge.net), it soon will be supported by alsaplayer,
ecasound, etc.

Note that I can't call my package "jack" because there already is a jack
package in debian, so I called it jackit for now. I'm still discussing
the name with upstream though.

I'm no DD yet but I already have found a sponsor for the package.

It's already available at
